Campoamor Golf Club
Campoamor Golf Course is a par 72, 18 hole golf course designed by Carmelo Gracias Caselles that was opened in 1988. All around the course, there are pine and orange trees that create a beautifully lush course with undulating fairways providing a challenging playing environment. The course is generally well maintained to a high standard being reseeded each winter and summer as the owners do not favour the more frequently used ‘Bermuda’ grass as it tends to turn a yellowish brown during the winter months.
The superb clubhouse offers an eclectic mix of sea food based on Mediterranean cuisine and al a Carte menu with fabulous panoramic views of the Costa Blanca coast line.

Campoamor Golf Course Review
Campoamor golf course is long, being 6,198 metres from the yellow tees with numerous right to left dog-leg holes on sloping and undulating fairways which explains the handicap ‘slope’ rating which is very high and in general provides players with 3-4 additional shots against their normal handicap.
All standards of golfer will find this course a severe test of their ability because on many holes any shot left of centre on the fairway will almost certainly find the left hand rough or even worse, the lateral water hazards.
The par 5 holes on this course are 500 yards plus in length and offer limited birdie chances and only the longer hitters will fancy their chances of reaching the greens in two shots.
The par 3 holes are also particularly difficult with three of them being in excess of 200 yards from the yellow tees.
Campoamor golf course is a course which demands strategy to achieve a good score and this often means putting the driver away on many holes settling for positional play off the tee, leaving longer second shots to the greens.
